Description
Nederlands: Luchtopname. Vliegveld Volkel gebombardeerd. Om de weg voor hun opmars uit het zuiden vrij te maken, bombarden de Geallieerden op 15 augustus 1944 het vliegveld Volkel bij Uden. Alle start- en landingsbanen zijn onbruikbaar geworden, maar de hangars met Duitse vliegtuigen blijven gespaard, en ook de rolbanen. Via deze rolbanen weten de Duitsers toch weg te komen met hun vliegtuigen, maar niet voordat ze het hele vliegveld hebben vernield. De Geallieerden weten niet dat de Duitsers verdwenen zijn en bombarderen het vliegveld op 3 september 1944 nog een keer
