Italiano: "Il dipinto è parte di una serie di ritratti ascrivibili con ogni probabilità a Jacob erdinand Voet e alla sua cerchia in gran parte dei casi già attribuiti a Mignard. Essi appaiono come altrettante variazioni di una stessa ormula che assicurò il successo dell'artista presso le amiglie aristocratiche di Roma dove soggiornò dal 663 al 679. Le eigiate indossano abiti conormi alla moda ilo-rancese introdotta da Maria Mancini e la loro espressione è di solito intima bonaria o ironica libera da qualsiasi gravità o aulicità. Lo stile rivela una pennellata luida che dà risalto alle luci e crea eetti spumeggianti nei ricami di velluto o damasco; i volti invece sono levigati e initi senza traccia di pennellata. Il personaggio qui ritratto è Anna Maria Carpegna Naro iglia di Mario Carpegna cavaliere dell'ordine di Santo Steano e maggiordomo del cardinale Carlo de' Medici e di Teresa Dudley Northumberland."
