Description
English: Votive relief in the shape of a temple. Pentelic marble. Probably from Loukou, Arcadia. The relief depicts Asclepius, with Hygeia in the background. Behind Asclepius are his sons Machaon and Podalirius, and his daughters Iaso, Aceso and Panacea. A family of worshippers is depicted at the left, leading a sacrificial pig. Their maidservant carrying a hamper covered with a cloth can be seen in the background. 400-350 B.C. Accession number: 1402. National Archaeological Museum of Athens. Athens, Greece.
