Русский: Это картина немецкого художника Якоба Филиппа Гаккерта «Второе сражение у бухты Чесма 24 октября 1772 года». Картина написана специально для Чесменского зала Большого Петергофского дворца в 1778 году. На картине описаны события Первой Архипелагской экспедиции русского флота — морского сражения у бухты Чесма 24 октября 1772 года. Описание картины. Слева — корабли отряда адмирала Грейга, справа — охваченные пламенем турецкие суда, около них — шлюпки с русскими матросами и пехотинцами. У края картины — берег Чесменской бухты с окутанными дымом крепостными стенами и башнями минаретов, около берега — лодки с войсками русского десанта.
