Summary
editDescriptionW. Spotted Skunk - Spilogale Gracilis.jpg |
English: Western Spotted Skunk - Spilogale Gracilis. When I chased this little creature (about 14" long, incl. tail) I was not sure if it was a skunk, but I was previously familiar only with the larger version (Mephitis). I was lucky - he did not stomp his front feet at me in warning, nor did he grace me with his special "perfume". He appeared at the side of my house in early April. Location: Edge of Sequoia National Forest, California |
