Description
Deutsch: Bahnstrecke Leipzig–Geithain, Streckensicht aus einem Regionalexpress Richtung Chemnitz zwischen dem Posten 29 und der Blockstelle Lauterbach-Steinbach. Das Signal links ist das Vorsignal Vh des Bahnhofs Otterwisch, im Hintergrund folgt das Überwachungsssignal Ü2912 und das mechanische Blocksignal B. Zwei Tage vorher, in der Nacht und am Vormittag des 24. Dezembers fiel etwas Schnee, die Temperaturen lagen unter 0 °C und der Wind sorgte trotz der letztlich geringen Schneemenge für heftige Verwehungen. Am Nachmittag des 24. Dezembers fuhr sich ein RE nach Chemnitz in einer Schneewehe zwischen Burgstädt und Wittgensdorf ob Bf fest. Ein Räumungsversuch mit einem Schneepflug Bauart Meiningen misslang, der Schneepflug wurde beschädigt. Zum Aufnahmezeitpunkt ist die Strecke noch immer zwischen Burgstädt und Wittgensdorf gesperrt. Auffällig ist, dass an der gesamten Strecke keine Schneezäune aufgestellt wurden.
