Description
English: Troops of the Wehrmacht, the military forces of Nazi Germany, in Oslo, Norway in 1940, during the first year of the German occupation of Norway in World War II. The soldiers are equipped with greatcoats, steel helmets, MG 34 machine guns, Karabiner 98k rifles, field gear, etc. Some of the soldiers on bicycles and horse-drawn wagons. Also cargo wagons on the railway by the harbour, etc.

Norsk bokmål: Foto fra Oslo 1940, under den tyske okkupasjonen av Norge under andre verdenskrig. Bildet er tatt ved Oslo Havnelager på Langkaia og viser marsjerende soldater fra Wehrmacht, det nazistiske Tysklands militære styrker, og forflyning av utstyr ved hjelp av hester og sykler. Soldatene er bevæpna med blant annet maskingeværer (MG 34), Mauser-geværer (Karabiner 98k-rifler), er kledt i side frakker og høye støvler, har stålhjelmer og feltutstyr. Lastevogner på jerbanesporet ved havneområdet øst for Akershus festningsområde, med mer.
