Description
English: Military equipment used during the German invasion and occupation of Norway in World War 2:
  • The Narvik Shield (German: Narvikschild, Norwegian: Narvikskjoldet) was a World War II German military decoration awarded to all German forces that took part in the battles of Narvik between 9 April and 8 June 1940. It was instituted on 19 August 1940 as the first of a series of arm shield campaign awards. The award is seen sewn onto the upper part of the left sleeve of a Wehrmacht uniform tunic.
