English: Contact print of an aerial photograph of part of Brest, France, around 1944 during World War II, during the bombing of a bridge in Brest. Photograph taken by or collected by 2nd Lt. Ernest C. Hungate of Norfolk, Virginia, while he served as a U.S. Army Air Forces’ navigator in the 96th Bombardment Group (Heavy), 8th Air Force [circa 1944].
