Description
English: WWII Spigot mortar emplacement - detail. Detail of Spigot mortar emplacement: the mortar would have been mounted on the steel pin. This is one of a pair of Spigot Mortar emplacements that are located about 10 metres apart on separate concrete bases, in the golf links. See also > 832508. Constructed from concrete and steel during 1941/45 they formed part of the Norfolk coast defences. Defence of Britain database ref: S0001197.
