English: A now old-fashioned lighted "Next Train" sign over the center platform of the Wakefield-241st Street Elevated Railway Terminal over White Plains Road at the intersection with 241st Street in the Wakefield section of the North Bronx, New York City. The station is not only the northern terminus of the train in New York City, but the northernmost station on the line, and geographically the northernmost station in the entire New York City Subway system. Too bad neither of these trains can block out the afternoon glare. While not as much of a relic as the NYW&B train indicators at Pelham Parkway station on the IRT Dyre Avenue Line, even lighted boxes with white lenses and black lettering like this are remarkably outdated compared to the first generation PA/CIS signs that the MTA is currently in the process of trying to phase out.
