English: Wakering Stairs: Where trains come to die Particularly curious and most prominent in MOD territory around Shoeburyness and Wakering is the vast amount of disused rolling stock that comes to rust its life away on the many tracks and trails belonging to the Ministry. I read somewhere that even some London Underground vehicles end up in this loco-graveyard. Pictured here are two of many such carriages looking across from the seafront at Wakering Stairs. |
