English: Wakering Stairs Probably the craggiest and most deserted beach I have ever photographed, Wakering Stairs lies approximately one mile from Wakering village and is accessed via the MOD road from Landwick Corner. You may only access the road at MOD discretion, but it tends to be open at weekends or on summer evenings, when even then it is largely deserted. The debris pictured here is typical of that washed up by the North Sea. Full of boulders and shingle, the beach-comber can always something interesting including crystals embedded into the rock and shells. |
