Description
English: At the south wall of the Wanping Castle in Beijing. The spot damaged by the Japanese shelling during the Marko Polo Bridge (Lugouqiao) Incident in 1937 are marked with a memorial plaque. The text on the row of black stone drums along the walls tells the story of the War againt Japan that followed the incident.
