Deutsch: Der Felsenberg ist redendes Bild für den Ortsnamen, der vom Burgfelsen abgeleitet ist. Der pfalzbayerische Löwe, hier in einzigartiger Stellung, symbolisiert die seit dem späten 14. Jahrhundert bestehende wittelsbachische Ortsherrschaft und verweist auf die Ausstellung des Wappenbriefs durch Pfalzgraf Friedrich II. von der Pfalz im Jahr 1540. Kurfürst Karl Albrecht bestätigte das Wappen 1730. Nur in einer Zeichnung von 1811 wird der Löwe mit Krone gezeigt. |
