Description
This is a photograph of an architectural monument.
It is on the list of cultural monuments of Preußisch Oldendorf.
Deutsch: Wappen des Kreises Lübbecke wie es von 1968 bis 1973 benutzt wurde.
Blasonierung: In einem silbernen Schild ein zinnenbewehrter Turm aus blauem Mauerwerk auf rotem Dreiberg, der mit mit zwei silbernen, gekreuzten Schlüssel mit abgewendeten Barten belegt ist.
Der dargestellte Turm auf dem Dreiberg ist der Burgfried der Burg Limberg auf dem Limberg bei Preußisch Oldendorf. Die Burg stand für die ehemals der Grafschaft Ravensberg zugehörigen Gebiete im Kreis Lübbecke, die ehemals im Amt Limberg organisiert waren. Die Schlüssel des Heiligen Petrus in rotem Feld stehen dabei für die Teile des Kreises Lübbecke, die ehemals dem Fürstentum Minden zugehörig waren.
