Object history
Deutsch: Die heutige Stadt Bad Urach entstand am 1. Januar 1975 durch den Zusammenschluß von fünf ehemals selbständigen Gemeinden.
Am 1. September 1971 hatten sich Sirchingen und Wittlingen der Stadt angeschlossen, am 1. Dezember 1972 folgte Hengen, und am 1. Januar 1975 kam Seeburg dazu. Die neugebildete Stadt, seit 1983 Bad Urach, übernahm das bereits 1316 belegte Uracher Stadtwappen, denn alle Stadtteile waren stets mit der ehemaligen (Ober-)Amtsstadt eng verbunden.
