Nederlands: War Pigeon Spy, kunstwerk in de serie Friendly Fire, bestaande uit elf bewerkte putdeksels ter herinnering aan bombardementen in de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Kunstenaar Hester Oerlemans. 2018. Ter herinnering aan de Fokker-bombardementen van juli 1943 zijn er elf kunstwerken geplaatst in de Van der Pekbuurt en omgeving. De werken hebben de vorm van een putdeksel en verwijzen naar deze gebeurtenissen, waarbij ruim 200 doden vielen. De eerste twee deksels zijn 17 juli 2018 onthuld, 75 jaar na de eerste bombardementen. De naam Friendly Fire verwijst naar de bombardementen door de geallieerden, die voor de Fokker fabrieken waren bedoeld maar neerkwamen op woningen. https://friendly-fire-amsterdam.nl/ |
