English: Wartime Weekend Event Pickering 2007 Looking west down Market Place in the centre of Pickering during the Wartime Weekend Event.
The road has to be closed due to the vast amount of people that visit this annual event dressed in 1940s uniforms and clothes. Bizarrely the local council and organisers have banned any re-enactors from wearing German uniforms, which is very strange, as if it was not for the German history of World War II this annual event would never even be taking place. |
