Deutsch: Porta Rotunda oder Wasserpforte, Vortor des Martinstors, an der Mosel in Trier auf dem Merian-Stich von 1646. Die Ansicht stammt vermutlich von 1548; so wird die in der zweiten Hälfte des 16. Jahrhundert errichtete Spätrenaissancefassade des Martinsklosters (links) nicht abgebildet (siehe Kommentar auf image:De Merian Mainz Trier Köln 045.jpg). – Die Einfärbung stammt nicht von dem Originalstich und wurde ergänzt, um den Bau hervorzuheben.
English: City gate Porta Rotunda or Wasserpforte (Water Gate), before the Martinstor (Martin Gate), at the Mosel River in Trier on an engraving by Merian 1646. The view is probably taken from 1548; see commentary on image:De Merian Mainz Trier Köln 045.jpg. - The coloration is not from the original engraving and was added to highlight the building.
