Summary edit
| Description | Church towers, windmills and water towers are repeating structures that in the past often punctuated the skyline. Whilst the church towers remain most of the windmills have long since vanished and the same is happening to the water towers. Having already a couple of water towers in my Photostream it occurred to me that perhaps these vanishing structures deserved a set of their own. This one, still in use, is at Burton Stather, a village situated on the brow of a cliff on the east bank of the River Trent in the very north of the county. |
