English: Waters Edge Country park, Barton-upon-Humber, Lincolnshire, England. Waters Edge is an 86 acre country park situated on the south bank of the river Humber, near Barton-upon-Humber. This photo shows part of the Visitors Centre building and one of several ponds, with the Humber bridge in the background. The country park boasts a collection of ponds, reedbeds, woodlands and meadows and is a haven for a variety of birds and other wildlife, having two areas designated as SSSIs, while the design of the Visitors Centre is intended to promote the principles of sustainable living. |
