View SE, with an Up freight (headed by LMS 4F 0-6-0 No. 44428) on the ex-Midland Leeds - Sheffield main line crossing over the ex-Great Central Penistone, Barnsley - Wath Yard - Mexborough - Doncaster/Sheffield line as ex-GC J11 0-6-0 No. 64363 runs tender-first towards Mexborough. Just through the bridge can be glimpsed the Swinton & Knottingley (Midland & NE) Joint line coming from the left from Knottingley and York. (Another train-watcher's paradise). |
