| Description |
English: Wedding receptions in Nigeria are usually done after the wedding ceremonies, usually at extra cost on the couples. Receptions are done in rented halls, resorts, hotels or any other accommodations with spacious quarters. At times, as in this case, an open space is utilized which is less costly than the former. Receptions are costly to organize because refreshment is usually made available for participants. This refreshment could include food, drinks, meat, music etc. During receptions, well wishers come to celebrate with the couple and their families and also give their gifts (which is fast becoming a reason to throw reception parties like a business venture)
