Description
Deutsch: Wegekreuz, Unfallkreuz an der Dillinger Straße von Dillingen nach Beckingen rechts der Straße. Zitat von Franz Hennes: "Auf die Höhe des Heidenkopfes führt der Rote Sandweg, der heute allerdings alsphaltiert ist. Dort steht am Fuße des Hügels an der Straße nach Beckingen rechts im Wald ein Sandsteinkreuz, das von einem Unglücksfall berichtet, bei dem Vater und Sohn gemeinsam ums Leben kamen. Ein mit Baumstämmen schwer beladenes Pferdefuhrwerk, an dem auf dem Roten Sandweg die Bremse versagte, überfuhr den Besitzer und seinen Sohn". Das Kreuz heißt im Volksmund "Endingersch Kreuz", weil der Verunglückte "Endingersch Hannes" genannt wurde.

Die Inschrift lautet: "Hier sind verunglückt d. 8. Febr. 1862 Joh. Hector Ehemann von Käthe Kiefer u. dessen Sohn Peter Hector aus Pachten. Der Vater wurde 17. März 1822 geb. u. d. Sohn d. 24. Febr. 1847 O. ihr Vorübergehende ged. uns"

Auf dem Sockel steht geschrieben: "ern. i. J. 1963 (erneuert im Jahr 1963)."

Entingers-Kreuz, Vater und Sohn wurden von einer Holzfuhre auf abschüssiger Straße überfahren.
English: Roadside memorial, cross placed on the right side of the road from Dillingen to Beckingen. The text says:

"Here on 8 February 1862, Johann Hector, husband of Käthe Kiefer, and his son, Peter Hector from Pachten, were fatally injured in an accident. The father was born on 17 March 1822, and the son on 24 February 1847. O remember us, ye who pass by"

The base says: "renewed in the year 1963."

The cross of Entinger; father and son were walking downhill on this road, when they were run over by a cart loaded with wood.
