| Description | Denkmal auf dem Friedhof von Weil für die am 25. September 1848 von badischen Truppen in Staufen ermordeten fünf Weiler Musikanten. Der Obelisk aus Granit wurde am 28. März 1927 vom Musikverein Weil errichtet. Die jungen Männer waren mit Struves Freischar gezogen und hatten sich während des Gefechts um Staufen in einem Hausversteckt. Am Folgetag beschoss ein republikanischer Heckenschütze aus diesem Haus die badischen Besatzungstruppen. Diese stürmten das Haus, fanden dabei die Musikanten und erschossen sie ohne Verhör und ohne standrechtliches Verfahren. Inschrift: ZUM EHRENDEN GEDÄCHTNIS SEINEN AM 25. SEPT. 1848 ZU STAUFEN GEFALLENEN MITGIEDERN + MICHAEL HÜTTER JOHANNES SCHERER FRIDOLIN WELTERLIN JOHANN GEORG LUDIN WILH.FRIEDR.
