Description
English: Weir across the River Trent near Alrewas, Staffordshire. The weir was constructed to maintain a constant water level for the Trent and Mersey Canal, which uses the river course for a short distance north of Alrewas. This picture was taken with the sun low, in late evening, hence the golden glow to the trees.
