Description
English: Well in Digbeth, Birmingham, England, Plaque reads "The tank above is 6ft wide and 12ft deep and holds 3,000 gallons. It is kept constantly filled with pure spring water by the Artisian bore, which is 4 inches in diameter and four hundred feet deep. It is cased with two sets of tubes to prevent surface impurities. The well was bored in the year 1854 by Mr Clarke, of Maida Hill, London. The Quantity of water which rises if allowed to flow is 72,000 galls per day. The Fountain is worked by the over flow."
