| Description | This brick Renaissance Revival-style Victorian home is located just around the corner from the Parkview Manor, the subject of one of my previous posts, and has many similar features, though it is smaller, less opulent, and less prominent. Despite this, it remains an impressive late 19th Century Mansion, and features details that appear German or Central European in style. The house also features an ornately detailed classical revival-style porch, a large and prominent round three-story tower, which is hidden by the lush deciduous trees in the front yard. The house today is in overall good condition, but the parapet on the left hand (Bishop Street) side appears to have gone through some deterioration and need repairs, but much of the house appears to be in decent shape. |
