Deutsch: Werdenberg, Stadtbefestigung (Stadtmauer, Torturm, «Doktorhaus»)

1673 liess der Landeshauptmann Mathias Forrer auf den Grundmauern des mittelalterischen Festungsturmes ein sechseckiges Haus errichten. An der Nordecke ist der Torpfeiler mit Bogenansatz des 1832 abgebrochenen vorderen Stadttores zu erkennen.

Das Haus diente als einer der Stammsitze der Familie Hilty. Anfang des 20. Jahunderts lebte hier der Arzt Dr. Otto Hilty. Ihm nach wurde das Haus allgemein als "Doktorhaus" genannt.

Die Wandmalereien sind um 1920 entstanden.
