Thought I would upload my first decent photo of D536 NDA which I took on Sunday at its temperary home in Walsall area. RESTORATION UPDATE: Nothing much. Work has been very slow since its move in December 2011. The water was changes prior the frost arriving. Work has been made to rectifying the key barrel, which had to be broken when the keys got stolen from its old home. A temperary switch was to be fitted, but as it was arcing with the steering column, I have abandoned this. Been able to rectify old steering lock and repair as must as possible. Just need to replace the switch, which I am awaiting the spare part which is arriving at the end of the month. 536 will be taken to DSCC, Deepcar for some Welding and Mechanical work over the next 2 months. While there, the tired wheel arches are going to be repaired, and some other work to try and get the bus through a class 5 MOT. Before the move, the windscreen is in need for replacing and some other little tasks. |
