English: West Street and Abbey Street Many people think of the dual carriageway here as Kirkstall Road, but that starts about 200 metres to the left of this picture. The building in the centre is an office building (occupied by Insurance Brokers) with Abbey St to its right, and the Fire Station to the left. Behind to the right is The Tannery, a University hall of residence, and to the left Opal One which contains apartments for students (it includes an indoor heated swimming pool, gymnasium and sauna). Construction has started on Opal Two beyond it. |
