| Description | One of eight bronze relief panels on the doors of the central entrance of the west façade of the U.S. National Bank Building, in Portland, Oregon. Designed by Avard Fairbanks, the relief panels on the doors at this end of the building were cast in 1926 and 1927 (according to the NRHP listing's documentation). In the panel illustrated here, the Broadway Bridge's draw span is open for a steamship. Another ship is in the foreground and a monoplane is flying overhead, as an artist paints the scene. |
