OKINAWA, Japan (Feb. 17, 2017) Seabee’s from Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5 and Marines from Golf Co., Battalion Landing Team, 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit work together to get out of a muddy water pit as part of the endurance course at the Jungle Warfare Training Center on Camp Gonsalves, Okinawa, Japan, Feb. 17, 2017. JWTC exposes Marines and Sailors to training situations and environments unique to the Indo-Asia-Pacific region which sustain operational readiness and enhance forward deployed capabilities. NMCB 5 is the forward deployed Western Pacific NMCB ready to support Major Combat Operations, Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief operations, and to provide general engineering and civil support to Navy, Marine Corps, and joint operational forces. Homeported out of Port Hueneme, Calif., NMCB5 has 12 detachment sites deployed throughout the United States and western Pacific area of operations.
