English: Westgate - Wortley Almshouses It is only by looking through the windows that one becomes aware that this is a public house! Even the hanging sign at the far end only displays a coat of arms and the name. This is a group of almshouses dating from 1744 and are listed Grade II
It is now totally surrounded by the Queensgate retail centre and transport hub. |
