Summary edit
DescriptionWhite Cottage, West Newton - geograph.org.uk - 561064.jpg |
English: White Cottage, West Newton, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. A much extended cottage on the south side of West Newton Road, the original building probably dating from the 18th century. West Newton township was added to Marton to form Burton Constable civil parish in 1935 and although the building of eight council houses pretty much doubled the population of the hamlet in the mid 20th century, there were still fewer than twenty houses in West Newton in 1991. |
