Description
English: White Horse, Hindover Hill First appeared in the 1920s when the tenant farmer of Frog Firle made it one night to get the locality talking. They had been a previous horse in virtually the same spot carved out in the 1860s to mark Victoria's jubilee but it had disappeared by the early 20th century. This view looks across a drainage ditch on the western bank of the Cuckmere River towards Hindover Hill. The major viewpoint is near the horses hindquarters but there is another one near its head. A permissive footpath descends the hill to the valley floor and can be made out.
