Whore of Babylon (woman of Babylon)

Unknown artist, most probably a woodcut, apparently made in a German speaking country.

heading reads: APOC. XVII. Mulier cum poculo abominationis ſedens ſuper beſtiam, adoratur à regibus & populis terræ.

caption reads:

Das Weib uff dem thier sitzend / mit dem gülden becher des grewels in der hand / wird angebetet von Königen und völckern der erden.

(heading in Latin and caption in German is about the same)

Translation into English language: The woman sitting on the beast / with the golden mug of horror in her hand / is being worshipped by the kings and peoples of the worlds.
