English: Wideford Hill Cairn A chambered cairn on the north-west side of Wideford Hill, overlooking Wide Firth and the Bay of Firth, and dating from about 3000BC. The cairn's builders quarried into the slope to create a level platform on which to build their monument. The exterior stonework is now visible , with a 'stepped' appearance made up of three concentric rings. |
