Jos. Kurstjens tile factory was founded in 1873 in Tegelen. The factory moved to the Nassaustraat in 1926. Around 1970 the name was changed to Jeka. In 1994 the factory was sold to Koramic. In 1996 it was sold to Wienerberger AG. In 2003 the production of tile factory Janssen-Dings in Belfeld was moved to the factory in Tegelen.
