Description
English: This photo shows three of the eight bridges included in phase one of the I-85 Corridor Improvement Project in Davidson and Rowan counties. The bridge on the far left is a railroad bridge across the Yadkin River. The bridge in the center of the photo currently carries northbound and southbound traffic on U.S. 29/70. The bridge on the right is the historic Wil-Cox Bridge. It previously carried U.S. 29/70 South traffic, but in 2010, the aging bridge was deemed unsafe for traffic and closed pending repair work.
