Description
English: The Wind Tower in Plaka (center) and the Muslim Seminary (center right) in 1806, at the time of the Ottoman occupation of Athens. The Seminary was converted into a prison during the reign of King Otto of Greece and was later demolished (1898) during the reign of king George A΄ of Greece. ORIGINAL TITLE: "Mendreses, a Seminary of the Turks" (1806).
