Description
English: A photograph in a series of around 2500, taken between 1910-1930 by the New South Wales Police Department. These men and women were usually allowed to dress and pose as they wished.

The Police Department described the image like this in their Police Gazette, 28 July, 1926:

"Opium dealer./ Operates with large quantities of faked opium and cocaine./ A wharf labourer; associates with water front thieves and drug traders."
