Description
English: Williton Station on the West Somerset Railway, a steam operated heritage railway in the English county of Somerset. This view shows the platforms looking north. The station was originally constructed for Brunel’s 7’ 0¼” broad gauge, which may partly explain the unusual width between the platforms. Trains on the single line from Minehead and from Bishop’s Lydeard typically cross here, although there are also crossing loops at Blue Anchor and Crowcombe Heathfield. For more information see the Wikipedia article Williton railway station.
