| Description |
English: Any hard surface that exists in the ocean is encrusted by marine life. The legs of the structure at Block Island Wind Farm are covered with mussels from the water surface to the seafloor.
In this video, you can see other marine life such as algae and fish. Fish are drawn to the structure for food and shelter. The Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind Pilot Project turbines are also covered with mussels and many species of fish are attracted to them.
