English: Windsor & Eton Central Station, 2005. View eastward, towards buffer-stops on the single surviving platform: ex-GWR terminus of branch from Slough. This scene is in marked contrast with the still splendid station entrance, but there used to be a fine glazed arch as a roof and until 1968-69 there used to be four platforms. Windsor Castle can be seen in the background. |
