Description
English: Filial church Winzendorf in Winzendorf am Steinfeld, municipality Winzendorf-Muthmannsdorf, district Wiener Neustadt-Land District, Lower Austria / Austria / EU. Chancel in the 1920s. Interior view with pulpit, statue of the Virgin Mary, neo-Gothic altar, angels on the right and left, baptismal font, gallery (top left), communion rail, still with round window (later bricked up). The neo-Gothic altar was donated by Archduke Rainer of Austria, then owner of the Emmerberg estate.[2] The altar pedestal underneath had no mensa plate. This was probably already removed from the previous altar. Fragments were found when the wall between the church and the charnel house was demolished. The former refectory slab was reconstructed from them and consecrated in 1990.
