Description
English: Lao Sze Chuan Restaurant (the name is subtly stylized to pay homage to the famous Beijing playwright w:Lao She) in the Uptown Neighborhood, on Broadway north of Lawrence, Chicago's pre-eminent Sichuan food mecca. Part of Asia on Argyle and Asian Broadway shopping/food districts.

Original Flickr description: You wouldn't know just by looking at them, that the bags already are hiding 2x Chengdu dumplings plus extra quart of suanla shauchou sauce, Crispy tofu and correspondingly likewise (sweet bean-base carmelized, flash-stir-fired sweet and spicy sauce), and Boiled beef Sichuan style with Sichuan numbing peppercorns, and lotsa rice. Need the extra sauce x2 for my own Sichuan fusion thing in progress, complete with my own Sichuan numbing peppercorns from Dai Nam pan-Asian supermarket up the street. Chicago's Uptown on Broadway north of Riviera Theatre (tomorrow's special: Belle and Sebastian, sold out). 2 April 2015.
