English: Recorded at #legalizefreedom, the 2016 Libertarian Party Convention, in Orlando, Florida, on May 30, 2016. Recorded and edited by James Holland.
Special thanks to all those who purchased tickets to the convention that provided the funds to make this event and video possible. Wendy Adams entered the Liberty Movement in 2011 as a volunteer for Ron Paul Louisiana after having had a career as a probation officer, security consultant, and engineering tech. She was soon hired as the NOLA Regional Director and helped lead the way to Ron Paul's caucus victory in La. After experiencing the La GOP's corruption first hand, she finally came home, where she belonged, to the Libertarian Party. Lily Tang Williams - Born in the wild west of China, Sichuan province before the Cultural Revolution, raised with her two sibling brothers by illiterate working-class parents, Lily grew up facing poor living conditions, food rationing, Communist indoctrination, political, and social chaos under Mao's regime. In this tumultuous environment, she quickly developed street smarts and compassion as well as the values of perseverance and hard work. Lily was nominated as a candidate by the Libertarian Party of Colorado in March of 2014 to run for Colorado State Representative in District 44. She is the former state chair of the Libertarian Party of Colorado and currently State Director for Our America Initiative. Avens O'Brien is a second-generation Libertarian activist, the child of former LP candidates for Governor and Congress in NH who worked on the Hospers campaign in 1972. She's the product of unschooling and peaceful parenting, started college at 14 years old, and is the former Vice Chair of the LPNH from 2006-2008. She volunteered on Badnarik's presidential campaign in 2004, and Ron Paul's presidential campaign in 2008. |
