Description
English: Woodhouses Bastle Bastles, such as this one at Woodhouses, were a poor man's tower and barn in one. Here it can be seen along with a small cow house. This Bastle is dated 1602 with initials of William Potte over the lower doorway. It was restored in the 1980's and is open to the public.
